A top price for Hiroshi Hamaya - as previously expected
The work Selected landscapes by Hiroshi Hamaya was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2001. The price achieved of USD 4,112.50 (€ 4,634.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Selected landscapes is the most expensive artwork by Hiroshi Hamaya that we have observed at auctions so far.
