Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Change - 2 & Rise - 2 by Hideki Satoh was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. It changed hands for a price of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 4,917.28) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hideki Satoh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cocoon, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 12,348.97).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 4.917,28) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hideki Satoh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cocoon beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 12.348,97) versteigert wurde.
