Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pleasure of Pain (Graphite Line #22) by Hideki Satoh was sold in the Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,792.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hideki Satoh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cocoon, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 12,348.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pleasure of Pain (Graphite Line #22) von Hideki Satoh wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 5.792,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hideki Satoh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cocoon beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 12.348,97) versteigert wurde.
