In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale, which included the work Dancers by Hernando Ruiz Ocampo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,960,000.00 (€ 345,806.92), 64% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hernando Ruiz Ocampo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Playmates, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 6,040,000.00 (€ 737,701.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dancers von Hernando Ruiz Ocampo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.960.000,00 (€ 345.806,92) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hernando Ruiz Ocampo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Playmates beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 6.040.000,00 (€ 737.701,19) versteigert wurde.
