In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale), which included the work A Song for Aleli by Hernando Ruiz Ocampo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 201,872.16), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hernando Ruiz Ocampo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Playmates, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 6,040,000.00 (€ 737,701.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Song for Aleli von Hernando Ruiz Ocampo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 201.872,16) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hernando Ruiz Ocampo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Playmates beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 6.040.000,00 (€ 737.701,19) versteigert wurde.
