Signed, dated, annotated 'A' and numbered 36/80, from the Edition A printed on unique fabric (there were also 25 copies with hand-colouring, 32 on regular canvas, 18 on white primed canvas and one artist’s proof), published by Francesco Conz, Verona (with his inkstamp on the reverse), with the accompanying Certificate of Authenticity issued by the artist's studio.

Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hermann Nitsch could be acquired at Phillips in London in January 2024 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Das Letzte Abendmahl (The Last Supper) changed hands for GBP 13,970.00 (€ 23,381.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hermann Nitsch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel (Schüttbild) in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 600,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hermann Nitsch konnte im Januar 2024 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit Das Letzte Abendmahl (The Last Supper) für GBP 13.970,00 (€ 23.381,01) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hermann Nitsch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel (Schüttbild) im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 600.000,00.
