Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work Green Pastures by Herman Maril. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,361.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herman Maril have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White Sand in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 24,567.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Green Pastures von Herman Maril zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.361,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herman Maril auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit White Sand im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 24.567,24).
