In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work Two Alsatians by Herbert Thomas Dicksee. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 504.00 (€ 740.44), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert Thomas Dicksee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dying Lion in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 91,562.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Alsatians von Herbert Thomas Dicksee zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 504,00 (€ 740,44) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert Thomas Dicksee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dying Lion im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 91.562,90).
