In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Fantasielandschaft mit Auge sold for USD 52,500.00 (€ 42,927.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herbert Bayer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mirage In The Mountains, which sold at auction in July 2020 for GBP 125,000.00 (€ 139,427.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Herbert Bayer erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Fantasielandschaft mit Auge für USD 52.500,00 (€ 42.927,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Herbert Bayer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mirage In The Mountains beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für GBP 125.000,00 (€ 139.427,98) versteigert wurde.
