Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Southern California by Henry Wessel. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,463.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Wessel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Icons Portfolio in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 44,450.00 (€ 53,117.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Southern California von Henry Wessel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.463,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Wessel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Icons Portfolio im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.450,00 (€ 53.117,68).
