Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Wessel could be acquired at Bonhams in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Gift of Photographs auction, the work Point Richmond, California changed hands for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,787.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Wessel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Icons Portfolio in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 44,450.00 (€ 53,117.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Wessel konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Gift of Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Point Richmond, California für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.787,72) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Wessel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Icons Portfolio im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.450,00 (€ 53.117,68).
