Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December this year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Gift of Photographs, which included the work 'Snowmass, Colorado' by Henry Wessel. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,388.54). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Wessel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Icons Portfolio in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 44,450.00 (€ 53,117.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Gift of Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Snowmass, Colorado' von Henry Wessel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.388,54) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Wessel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Icons Portfolio im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.450,00 (€ 53.117,68).
