Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Selected Images by Henry Wessel was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2021. The price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 8,496.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Wessel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Icons Portfolio in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 44,450.00 (€ 53,117.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Selected Images von Henry Wessel kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 8.496,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Wessel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Icons Portfolio im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.450,00 (€ 53.117,68).
