Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Windsor From The Thames by Henry Pether. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,533.50) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Pether - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of The Thames By Moonlight, Towards London Bridge, With The Tower of London And Traitors' Gate In The Foreground, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,550.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Windsor From The Thames von Henry Pether zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.533,50) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Pether mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View of The Thames By Moonlight, Towards London Bridge, With The Tower of London And Traitors' Gate In The Foreground beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.550,94) versteigert wurde.
