In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art auction, the work The Rose and Crown at Twickenham, with St Mary's Church beyond sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,737.70) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Pether - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of The Thames By Moonlight, Towards London Bridge, With The Tower of London And Traitors' Gate In The Foreground, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,550.94).
