Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Living with Art, which included the work River landscape with ducks and figure in a boat by Henry Pember Smith. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,482.39). Admittedly, works by Henry Pember Smith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Morning at Hamilton--Bermuda in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 10,575.00 (€ 12,461.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living with Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit River landscape with ducks and figure in a boat von Henry Pember Smith zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.482,39) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Pember Smith auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Morning at Hamilton--Bermuda im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.575,00 (€ 12.461,70).
