Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Old Oak Tree by Henry Pember Smith was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in August last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,533.53). Admittedly, works by Henry Pember Smith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Morning at Hamilton--Bermuda in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 10,575.00 (€ 12,461.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Old Oak Tree von Henry Pember Smith wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.533,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Pember Smith auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Morning at Hamilton--Bermuda im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.575,00 (€ 12.461,70).
