In December 2021 Christies in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work The Two Extremes - the Pre-Raphaelite by Henry Nelson O'Neil. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,346.79), 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Nelson O'Neil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Home Again, 1858 in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 553,750.00 (€ 877,761.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Two Extremes - the Pre-Raphaelite von Henry Nelson O'Neil zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 25.346,79) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Nelson O'Neil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Home Again, 1858 im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 553.750,00 (€ 877.761,92).
