Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Catherine of Aragon by Henry Nelson O'Neil was sold in the The Collection of Professor Sir Albert Richardson, P.R.A. auction at Christies in London in September 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,965.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Nelson O'Neil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Home Again, 1858 in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 553,750.00 (€ 877,761.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Catherine of Aragon von Henry Nelson O'Neil wurde im September 2013 in der Auktion The Collection of Professor Sir Albert Richardson, P.R.A. bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.965,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Nelson O'Neil erzielen.
