Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Le bateau de sauvetage à Audierne by Henry Moret. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 52,285.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry Moret have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Ile de Groix, Morbihan in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 200,500.00 (€ 240,665.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le bateau de sauvetage à Audierne von Henry Moret zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 52.285,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Moret auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'Ile de Groix, Morbihan im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.500,00 (€ 240.665,43).
