Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Summer sailing by Henry Moore, R.A. was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art auction at Christies in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,970.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Moore, R.A. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Family Group in June last year with an auction result of GBP 315,000.00 (€ 365,940.40).

Die Arbeit Summer sailing von Henry Moore, R.A. wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.970,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Moore, R.A. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Family Group im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 315.000,00 (€ 365.940,40).
