Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reclining Figure No. 1 by Henry Moore, R.A. was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 119,700.00 (€ 139,057.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Moore, R.A. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Family Group, which sold at auction in June last year for GBP 315,000.00 (€ 365,940.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reclining Figure No. 1 von Henry Moore, R.A. kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 119.700,00 (€ 139.057,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Moore, R.A. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Family Group beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für GBP 315.000,00 (€ 365.940,40) versteigert wurde.
