This price was achieved in the auction Modern British Art at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Henry Moore, R.A. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Family Group in June last year with an auction result of GBP 315,000.00 (€ 365,940.40).
