Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Koerner could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Study For 'The Pond' changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,319.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Koerner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pigeons in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 576,600.00 (€ 510,853.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Koerner konnte im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Study For 'The Pond' für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.319,88) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Koerner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pigeons im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 576.600,00 (€ 510.853,19).
