Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Still lives of fruit on a marble ledge, a pair (2) by Henry George Todd. The price achieved of GBP 1,024.00 (€ 1,186.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Henry George Todd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grapes, pears, apples, peaches, plums, roses, a bronze tazza, a bird's nest and a glass dome containing red finches, on a wooden shelf in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 7,250.00 (€ 8,816.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still lives of fruit on a marble ledge, a pair (2) von Henry George Todd zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.024,00 (€ 1.186,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry George Todd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grapes, pears, apples, peaches, plums, roses, a bronze tazza, a bird's nest and a glass dome containing red finches, on a wooden shelf im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.250,00 (€ 8.816,67).
