Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still Life Of Pears And Grapes; Still Life Of Grapes And Plums by Henry George Todd was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in July 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,921.01). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry George Todd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grapes, pears, apples, peaches, plums, roses, a bronze tazza, a bird's nest and a glass dome containing red finches, on a wooden shelf, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 7,250.00 (€ 8,816.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still Life Of Pears And Grapes; Still Life Of Grapes And Plums von Henry George Todd im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.921,01) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry George Todd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grapes, pears, apples, peaches, plums, roses, a bronze tazza, a bird's nest and a glass dome containing red finches, on a wooden shelf beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 7.250,00 (€ 8.816,67) versteigert wurde.
