Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plums, an apple and a bunch of grapes on a mossy bank; and A pear, a plum and a bunch of grapes by Henry George Todd was auctioned at Christies in London in August 2002. The price achieved of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,854.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Henry George Todd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grapes, pears, apples, peaches, plums, roses, a bronze tazza, a bird's nest and a glass dome containing red finches, on a wooden shelf in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 7,250.00 (€ 8,816.67).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.854,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden.
