Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Henry Garland achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in August 2006. In the Gleneagles Pictures auction, the work Collecting Cattle In The Highlands sold for GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,706.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry Garland; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Highlanders Going South sold at auction in August 2007 with the realized price of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,304.38).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Henry Garland; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Highlanders Going South im August 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.304,38).
