In June 2010 Bukowski in Helsinki held the auction Spring Classic Sale Stockholm, which included this untitled work by Henry Garland. The auction ended at the price of SEK 25,000.00 (€ 2,621.84), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of SEK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Garland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Highlanders Going South in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,304.38).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2010 führte Bukowski in Helsinki die Auktion Spring Classic Sale Stockholm durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Henry Garland zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 25.000,00 (€ 2.621,84) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Garland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Highlanders Going South im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.304,38).
