Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Important Miniatures from a Private Collection, which included the work Portrait Of A Young Boy by Henry Edridge. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,780.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Edridge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nôtre Dame And Pont Marie From The Pont du Jardin du Roi, Paris, France, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,147.32).
