Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work On the Ribble, near Preston, Harvest time by Henry Dawson. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,528.25). Admittedly, works by Henry Dawson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Durham Cathedral From The River in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,380.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Ribble, near Preston, Harvest time von Henry Dawson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.528,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Dawson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Durham Cathedral From The River im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 61.380,70).
