Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nottingham by Henry Dawson was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2014. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,522.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Dawson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Durham Cathedral From The River in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,380.70).
