Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work Nottingham by Henry Dawson. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,460.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Dawson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Durham Cathedral From The River, which sold at auction in May 2013 for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,380.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nottingham von Henry Dawson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.460,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Dawson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Durham Cathedral From The River beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für GBP 52.500,00 (€ 61.380,70) versteigert wurde.
