In August 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work On the Trent, near Colwick by Henry Dawson. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,129.32) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Dawson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Durham Cathedral From The River in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,380.70).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im August 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Trent, near Colwick von Henry Dawson zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.129,32) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Dawson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Durham Cathedral From The River im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 61.380,70).
