Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 881.25 (€ 1,393.98). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Charles Fox - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A shepherd driving sheep down a country lane with the harvesters beyond, which sold at auction in May 2000 for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,828.16).
