Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours including Original Book, which included the work Droving cattle on a rural path by Henry Charles Fox. The price achieved of GBP 227.05 (€ 321.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Charles Fox have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A shepherd driving sheep down a country lane with the harvesters beyond in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,828.16).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 227,05 (€ 321,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden.
