Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,056.65), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Charles Fox - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A shepherd driving sheep down a country lane with the harvesters beyond, which sold at auction in May 2000 for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,828.16).
