This work of art by Henry C. Peabody could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Maritime auction, the work Yachts Massachusetts bay, 1880-1900; a photographic album changed hands for USD 1,792.50 (€ 1,440.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Other works by Henry C. Peabody have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in February 2005 by the work Jubilee; Merlin; and Constellation at USD 3,120.00 (€ 2,350.46).
