Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Sloops racing; and A Catboat by Henry C. Peabody for USD 480.00 (€ 361.61). This price was achieved in the auction Maritime including Scientific & Medical Instruments at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Henry C. Peabody have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jubilee; Merlin; and Constellation in February 2005 with an auction result of USD 3,120.00 (€ 2,350.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
