Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vigilant; and Valkyrie II by Henry C. Peabody was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2005. It achieved a price of USD 1,440.00 (€ 1,084.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry C. Peabody - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jubilee; Merlin; and Constellation, which sold at auction in February 2005 for USD 3,120.00 (€ 2,350.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Vigilant; and Valkyrie II von Henry C. Peabody kam im Februar 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.440,00 (€ 1.084,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry C. Peabody mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jubilee; Merlin; and Constellation beobachtet, die im Februar 2005 für USD 3.120,00 (€ 2.350,46) versteigert wurde.
