Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2001 Christies in London held the auction British And Continental Watercolours And Drawings, which included the work The North East point of Scarbro' Castle Cliff by Henry Barlow Carter. The price achieved of GBP 376.00 (€ 607.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Barlow Carter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mont Orgueil, Jersey in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,962.49).
