Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Anchored offshore; and Sitting by the wreck by Henry Barlow Carter was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2009. The price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 709.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Barlow Carter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mont Orgueil, Jersey in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,962.49).

Die Arbeit Anchored offshore; and Sitting by the wreck von Henry Barlow Carter kam im Juli 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 709,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Barlow Carter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mont Orgueil, Jersey im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.962,49).
