Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A view of Torquay by Henry Barlow Carter was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2001. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 528.75 (€ 853.19). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Barlow Carter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mont Orgueil, Jersey in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,962.49).

Die Arbeit A view of Torquay von Henry Barlow Carter kam im März 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 528,75 (€ 853,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Barlow Carter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mont Orgueil, Jersey im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.962,49).
