Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work In front of the house by Henri van Daalhoff was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 239.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri van Daalhoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lente in January 2006 with an auction result of EUR 2,640.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit In front of the house von Henri van Daalhoff im September 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 239,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri van Daalhoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lente im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.640,00.
