Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nono à la guitare by Henri Lebasque was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in November this year. The price achieved of USD 277,200.00 (€ 254,125.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Lebasque - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le goûter sur la terrasse à Sainte-Maxime, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 1,022,500.00 (€ 711,254.87).
