In November 2008 Sothebys in Paris held the auction La Photographie IV: The Collection of Marie-Thérèse and André Jammes, which included the work Cathédrale Se Chartres, L'Ange Au Cadran Solaire / Portail De Gauche De La Façade, 1852 by Henri Le Secq. The auction ended at the price of EUR 2,500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Le Secq - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Chartres' (Three Statues), which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,027.82).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion La Photographie IV: The Collection of Marie-Thérèse and André Jammes durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cathédrale Se Chartres, L'Ange Au Cadran Solaire / Portail De Gauche De La Façade, 1852 von Henri Le Secq zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.500,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Le Secq mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Chartres' (Three Statues) beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.027,82) versteigert wurde.
