Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Bas-Reliefs Et Fragments Sculptés, Années 1850 by Henri Le Secq was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in November 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 4,375.00. Other works by Henri Le Secq have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2007 by the work 'Chartres' (Three Statues) at USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,027.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Bas-Reliefs Et Fragments Sculptés, Années 1850 von Henri Le Secq im November 2008 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 4.375,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Henri Le Secq wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2007 die Arbeit 'Chartres' (Three Statues) mit USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.027,82).
