In September 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS, which included the work A small village in winter by Henri Knip. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 4,095.70 (€ 1,887.72), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Knip achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Lake Geneva, with figures at a vineyard in the foreground, the Château de Chillon beyond in May this year with an auction result of USD 22,680.00 (€ 21,287.78).

Im September 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A small village in winter von Henri Knip zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 4.095,70 (€ 1.887,72) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Knip erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of Lake Geneva, with figures at a vineyard in the foreground, the Château de Chillon beyond im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.680,00 (€ 21.287,78).
