Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A mountainous wooded landscape with a draughtsman seated on a bridge and other figures strolling on a path by Henri Knip was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2005. The price achieved of EUR 660.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Knip achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Lake Geneva, with figures at a vineyard in the foreground, the Château de Chillon beyond in May this year with an auction result of USD 22,680.00 (€ 21,287.78).

Die Arbeit A mountainous wooded landscape with a draughtsman seated on a bridge and other figures strolling on a path von Henri Knip kam im September 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 660,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Knip erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of Lake Geneva, with figures at a vineyard in the foreground, the Château de Chillon beyond im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.680,00 (€ 21.287,78).
