Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Venise, vue du bassin de Saint-Marc by Henri Edmond Cross. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,309.08), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Edmond Cross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Faux Poivrier (Provence) in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 3,150,000.00 (€ 2,583,237.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venise, vue du bassin de Saint-Marc von Henri Edmond Cross zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.309,08) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Edmond Cross erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Faux Poivrier (Provence) im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.150.000,00 (€ 2.583.237,66).
